had far reaching effects. They also discovered that academic research in recent years has proved some of the familiar stories about Luther and the Reformation to be historically inaccurate. Furthermore, it was clear that Luther would never have been able to bring about a reformation in the church by himself. Many other people played important roles in putting the reformation ideas into action and carrying it to the rest of the world.

Trainers Evamaria Simon and Adelheid Ebel are now working on a second Godly Play-inspired story about the process of the Reformation. Based on the Reformation’s “Five Solas”, the story helps the listener to explore the ideas and process of the Reformation and how this process of renewal still takes place in the church today. The story is currently in a “rough draft” phase where the text is being polished and the play possibilities being worked out.
Our hope is that these Reformation stories will help children and adults to explore, discover, and be inspired. Reformation and renewal are important, and they are a continuing process. Luther did not do it alone, and neither can we. It is a team effort. Kind of like Godly Play when you think about it. C
